Usage
Magnesium is a cofactor of many enzyme systems. Hypermagnesemia is seen in Acute & Chronic renal failure and magnesium overload. Magnesium levels are used to monitor Pre-eclampsia patients being treated with magnesium sulphate. It is also used to evaluate patients with symptoms of magnesium deficiency.
