Usage
Troponin-I is a cardiac marker elevated only in patients suffering from acute Myocardial Infarction. Patients with renal disease or acute muscle injury show normal levels. High sensitivity assays can detect elevated levels of Troponin-I (above the 99th percentile of an apparently healthy reference population) within 3 hours after the onset of chest pain.
